About Me

As a municipal councillor in a rural northern town, I spend my days volunteering in my community and my evenings in council chambers; debating the budgets, bylaws, and decisions that impact our residents. That experience shapes the way I report on communities. I focus on local change-makers, curiosities, and translating how decisions made in committees or halls across the province affect our everyday lives.

I split my time between Ottawa and Northern Ontario, as a full-time journalism student at Carleton University. I've spent over 3 years in student politics, bringing that same energy to public service. Ottawa is my home-away-from-home.

My reporting covers a wide range of topics, beats, and formats, including local government, court proceedings, polling data, lifestyle articles, human-interest stories, and faith-based journalism.

My work has appeared in the likes of the National Post, Canada Lutheran, and dozens of local Village Media and Postmedia papers across Northeastern Ontario.

I cover it all. Whether that’s housing policy, Jesus and the rise of artificial intelligence, or even the latest in the world of gardening.
